Afternoon bubble bath in Brunswick – of course!

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

Now we can hear what you’re saying and have taken your suggestions on board, “I understand we can film beauty products, BBQs, fashion shows, wedding receptions, Wimbledon MADNESS at Brunswick Studios, what I’d really like to know is would it be possible to take a cheeky Friday afternoon bath in the Studio? It’s all I’ve ever wanted” Why yes humble followers, yes you can.

Disney decided to take the first dip and used the green screen to its full advantage filming for a new series on Disney Jr. later this year. Sadly the water was fairly scarce and the bubbles were few but we can’t wait to see the finished product…

Strakka Racing

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

Recently, we’ve been delving into the skills here at Brunswick and decided to take on the race tracks of Le Mans and Silverstone.

We’ve been working with Strakka Racing to create some beautiful cinematography. Initially it seemed Rohan and Heath were just using this as an excuse to have a little jolly holiday to enjoy the beautiful sights of France and an opportunity to film some awesome motors. However, the “holiday” became a fast-paced weekend in the heat filming some fantastic talent on the tracks. Along with a new addition to the team, Javier the Sound Guru, the team filmed through the day and edited their day’s work throughout the night to have some smashing footage by the morning. And then again…

A couple of weekends later, the mission started again at Silverstone but boy was it worth it. Though the beautiful French sun was a far cry from Silverstone’s less idyllic weather, it was still totally worth it. The rain spraying from the track at 120 Frames a Second on the RED Epic made life worth living!

Charlotte Tilbury

As a Studio, we’ve seen a lot of talent filming here but had a fantastic experience with the incredible Charlotte Tilbury.

I must admit, to start with it’s been a little intimidating with so many beautiful women wandering around the Studio, however, the jealousy quickly turns into sheer Awe.

Charlotte Tilbury is a beauty company specialising in make up. Charlotte started off as a make-up artist 20 years ago and now works with the world’s best fashion photographers, such as Mario Testino, Mert & Marcus and Terry Richardson. She also works alongside some incredible designers such as Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and Burberry and some of the most beautiful women in the world, such as Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz, Kristen Stewart and Laetitia Casta, to name just a few.

Here, we are lucky enough to have Charlotte and her team use he space to demonstrate their work. If you’d like to check out her blog you can visit www.charlottetilbury.com. Here is an example of some of her work:

How to become a Master of Krav Maga with The British Academy of Krav Maga

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

We all started 2015 thinking this was the year I’m going to be fit, thin and healthy. Each member of the team seemed to be buzzing. Tanya started swimming, Heath started running, Zaid decided to lay off the Babybells and Rohan, of course, started Krav Maga…

Now for many of you who are unaware of what Krav Maga actually is, it’s a self-defence system developed for the military in Israel with a bit of Aikido, Jujutsu, Boxing, Judo and Wrestling and for exercise it’s pretty fun!

Through Rohan’s journey for his “fit summer bod”, he met John Aldcroft from The British Academy of Krav Maga. John and Rohan worked together for Rohan to become a Master of his art and we thought for John’s efforts, we’d make a video to show what it takes to become a Krav Maga GURU. Take a look, become educated, become inspired:

48 Hour Film Festivities

Posted by | blog | No Comments

On one July evening as the sun was setting Rohan Tully awoke from a casual stooper on the Loft terrace and decided that there was a spare 48 hours going in November so why waste it having a lie in or go dancing like the disco king he’s always wanted to be. From that moment on, we embarked on our “48 hour film project” challenge.

Within her first day of working at Brunswick, Tanya (Studio Manager of the year Nominee in the “Not Really” Awards) was definitely immersed in the Brunswick atmosphere with no time for small talk. Having the responsibility for collecting the genre and information was definitely worth the free Pimms…

After meeting in a quaint actors’ club in central London, we were given the 6 little words that would define our 48 hour weekend of fun: a Comedy involving a Coach called Kevin Conway and obviously including a greetings card for good measure.

Writing took place overnight on the Saturday, Coffee and Red bull aplenty. But even a call time of 6.45am on the Saturday morning couldn’t rock the socks of Mikey (writer) and Rohan (Director) AKA Dream Team. Kevin Conway, the pick up coach, who teaches the Undateables how to date, was born!

The crack was simple. Whilst actors were getting prepped by the wonderful Natalie and Aisha, the crew gathered in various areas of London to start filming. Heath McWaters (Cinematographer, or more commonly known as Lord of the RED) did a sterling job of capturing the magic with the help of his fantastic crew.

As filming took place, the footage was transported to the editing suite where Zaid (editor) was waiting with pure hunger to do what he does best; make this magic into something credible…

Meanwhile, next door our composers Super Sonic Rob and Peter were cracking out a masterpiece to finish the film.

With an incredibly talented team, The Game was finished with hours to spare.

In those 48 hours Brunswick Studios was positively “buzzin’”. It was incredible to see so many talented people coming together on a weekend to do something they’re all so passionate about and for that, we couldn’t be more grateful.

Simple Minds jamming in Brunswick – Early Christmas present.

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

Now everyone loves a bit of an 80s jam, even if you’re the only 90s kid in the Studio, can’t help but love the sound of Simple Minds rockin’ out a cheeky little number upstairs in the Loft.

The band was large and needed a lot of room to show they still have the same swag from the 80s. Heath had the pleasure of creating a new white cove upstairs, lighting it and making sweet sweet cinematography to sweet sweet music. Damien Reeves, an extremely talented director specialising in music videos, compiled the footage from the Loft with hundreds of fan videos to create the masterpiece behind the music…

Disney Christmas fun…in August

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

It’s August time and we couldn’t think of anything more fun than welcoming Disney to film Christmas fun in the Studios.

They managed to fit a whole sleigh, into the cove as well as a huge cast and crew as well as enough Christmas presents to make a very happy little Studios.

The days were filled with Disney fun with an element of magic. Seems pretty standard. Here’s a couple of photos just incase you don’t believe us…1N6A97751N6A9773
